On August 8, 2024, Most Rev. David A. Konderla, Bishop of Tulsa & Eastern Oklahoma, dedicated an altar, ambo, and celebrant’s chair in the Saint Katharine Drexel Chapel at Holy Family Classical School.

Father Joshua Votruba chose the sanctuary furniture and served as master of ceremonies at the Mass attended by the staffs of Holy Family Cathedral and Holy Family Classical School. Head of School Mr. Everett Buyarski was the lector. Deacons Thomas and Jon Conro assisted at the altar. School President Father Brian O’Brien thanked Bishop Konderla for his support of our parish school.

The chapel sits on the top floor of the school building in what was a convent. Religious sisters staffed the school for its first seven decades, living in what is now the high school classrooms. Current teachers pray together in the chapel at least twice every day, much as the sisters did.
