Mrs. Summer Fuentes is a native Tulsan who attended Booker T. Washington High School. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies with a concentration in Elementary Education and Child Development from California State University and a Master’s degree in Educational Administration from Southeastern Oklahoma State University. Mrs. Fuentes holds certifications in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, English as a Second Language, and as a School Principal, along with completion of LETRS Science of Reading training and extensive formation in classical pedagogy through Ambleside Schools International, the Association of Classical Christian Schools, Providence Christian School in Dallas, the Institute for Catholic Liberal Education, and Founders Classical School.Mrs. Fuentes was a founding faculty member and part of the school development team for Regent Preparatory School- Tulsa’s first classical school , where she served in various roles for 17 years. From there she spent six years at Metro Christian Academy overseeing middle and high school student programming and the fine arts department. Now in her 29th year in education, Mrs. Fuentes serves as Assistant Head of School at Holy Family Classical School, where she is passionate about forming students in truth, goodness, and beauty through the rich tradition of Catholic classical education. She and her husband, Steve, are parishioners at Holy Family Cathedral and are blessed with five children.
